Blood orange (Citrus sinensis) essential oil is a fantastic top note oil that’s great for a variety of applications from perfumes to home cleaners. Like other oranges, the blood orange is tangy and sweet and is associated with happiness, attraction and an uplifted attitude.

Aura Cacia Organic Blood Orange Essential Oil is sourced from Italy where blood oranges are known for being the best in the world. The oil is cold pressed from the peel, giving it a fresh, tart aroma.

• Like other citrus oils, blood orange is dominated by monoterpenes – mainly limonene – which make it an excellent surface cleaner.
• Blood orange essential oil is considered a balancing and uplifting essential oil and is often used in blends for focus or relaxation. It blends well with lavender, patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood, cedarwood, geranium and many other essential oils.
• Blood orange is considered a good essential oil for children.

 Directions

There are so many ways to use essential oils! Because essential oils are highly concentrated, we recommend diluting them in a carrier product like skin care oil, water, grain alcohol/water mixed, vodka, unscented lotion, or unscented liquid soap. One to three or four drops of one or two essential oils added to a two ounce oil or soap or lotion is typically adequate for some, but not all essential oils. Some essential oils are so powerful that one drop may be too much! We strongly recommend that you become educated about the safe use of various essential oils for humans and animals before doing any experimentation.
