TIP: A dilute vinegar/water (2:1, 2 water, 1 vinegar--apple cider vinegar is a great choice) rinse may be used as a second rinse, if desired, on horses with longer and thick manes and tail or dense coats, or itchy skin conditions. If using the vinegar/water rinse method, follow with a third final rinse of plain water. Our favorite rinsing vinegars with their excellent amino acid profiles and skin and hair nourishing benefits are organic apple cider with the mother and organic rice vinegar. White vinegar works well, too, especially organic.
