Copaiba (Copaifera officinalis) essential oil comes from the tapped balsam of the copaiba tree. It has a deep, resinous, woodsy aroma and is known for its cleansing, purifying properties.

Aura Cacia Organic Copaiba Essential Oil comes from Brazil. The resin from which the oil is steam distilled has been used for body care applications by the indigenous people of Brazil for centuries.

• Stimulating, opening and soothing, copaiba is comprised mainly of the constituents alpha and beta-caryophyllene.
• In addition to use in air fresheners and body care products, copaiba makes a wonderful fixative. It works well as a base aroma in perfumes and other blends.
• It blends well with sweet orange, lavender, cinnamon leaf and ylang ylang.

There are so many ways to use essential oils! Because essential oils are highly concentrated, we recommend diluting them in a carrier product like skin care oil, water, grain alcohol/water mixed, vodka, unscented lotion, or unscented liquid soap. One to three or four drops of one or two essential oils added to a two ounce oil or soap or lotion is typically adequate for some, but not all essential oils. Some essential oils are so powerful that one drop may be too much! We strongly recommend that you become educated about the safe use of various essential oils for humans and animals before doing any experimentation.
